The T’ai Chi Ch’üan community is growing at South Suburban Park and Recreation District’s Douglas H. Buck Community Recreation Center, 2004 W. Powers Avenue, Littleton, Colorado. I am honored to collaborate with my teacher, mentor, friend and colleague, Maedée Duprès, to offer these classes for all levels, grounded in tradition and the joy of movement.
Classes are taught sequentially, with new beginner classes starting twice a year, in January and August. There’s also an advanced/ongoing class, geared toward students who are familiar with the long form Yang style. We also welcome and celebrate the diligent, enthusiastic “graduating” students who have studied with us at the Buck Center since March 2021.
If you have questions about choosing a class level, about the Yang style, or about our teaching philosophy, please reply in the comment section of this post. For details on the upcoming class schedule, click here.

Hi, Faith. I just starting tai chi/qi gong pracrtice on my own. I love it and want to pursue more formal instruction. I can’t attend your classes, which conflict with my work schedule. I live near Monaco and Hampden – can you recommend a place in my area? Thank you!
Hi Janet, thank you for your inquiry. I don’t know of any classes specifically in that area; however, some of my students have taken tai chi classes at the City of Denver’s Platt Park Recreation Center. They might have some references for you if the schedule and class content doesn’t meet your needs. I will also ask around my community to see if I can provide you any leads for qi gong. Good luck with the practice!
